Meet our Office Manager, Deb!


 Deb is at the center of the Buckley's team! She is more than just an office manager, she is adored by staff and clients alike for her patient dedication above and beyond the call of duty. Deb hails from the Pittsburgh area and began her career in the federal government after graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She starting working for Buckley's in 2006 after raising her five daughters.

 

 

 Meet our Care Manager, Susan!

Sue has a B.S.W. from N.C. State. She has had an extensive career in the fields of Care Management and Social Work over the last 30 years. Susan joined the Buckley's team in 2008 and brings her social work expertise along with a lot of joy and energy to all her beloved clients.


Meet our Companions!

Simbo

Simbo sees life as a tremendous gift and a blessing. Helping to make a positive difference, touching lives, uplifting her fellow human beings gives her purpose and fills her days with joy and satisfaction. She has a Bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Ife, in Nigeria, a Masters in Business Administration from Bowie State University and has lived and attended school in several countries in Africa, Europe as well as the USA. This, along with her diverse family background, among other things, has helped to shape her into a very multicultural and adaptable person who genuinely loves people.

 

Eric

Eric was born and raised in Alton, Illinois and lived in five states before finding roots in Northern Virginia. He is a US Air Force veteran, and retired after a career with the US Government. Eric is patient, understanding and a savvy problem solver. Loves to officiate youth and high school wrestling. He is a husband and father to two grown children, and enjoys working with and helping people.

Gigi was born in Bulgaria and has been with Buckley's since 2007. She is a wife and mother of two grown daughters and five grandchildren. She has a degree in physical education and was a former Bulgarian professional tennis player. Her professional background includes business development, public relations and teaching.

 Vanessa

Vanessa, born in Bolivia and raised in Arlington, studied at Trinity University before embracing the role of stay-at-home mom to two toddlers. Her days are filled with nurturing her backyard friends, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and extending a helping hand to fellow moms and seniors in her community. Passionate about creating connections and making a difference, she finds joy in every moment spent enriching the lives of those around her.

 

 Laura

Laura's accounting degree is from George Mason University and she has been an auditor, corporateaccountant, stay-at-home mom, and certified personal trainer/nutriton consultant.  For fun, she is a competitive powerlifter, short-form improv actor and writer.  She's even been known to tickle the ivories every once in a while.  Known for her "magic ear" listening skills, Laura atrributes her keen ear to being an only child making every person she's met a family member. 

 Rema

Rema was born in Detroit to first immigrant parents from Palestine, Jordan but has lived in Fairfax most of her life.  She has a daughter who graduated from William and Mary and resides in North Carolina.  Rema graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's degree in Education and speaks conversational Arabic.  She is a dog lover who also enjoys gardening, arts & crafts and Middle Eastern cooking.  Rema comes to Buckley's with many years of experience working with older adults which is her passion. 

 Sina

Sina is originally from Tehran, Iran, and immigrated to the Detroit area when he was almost 10.  He attended Michigan State University for undergrad and is finishing up his J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law. In his spare time, Sina loves to volunteer and play soccer.

Sandy

Sandy moved to Virginia from upstate NY in 1985 and has lived primarily in Alexandria since. She graduated from UVA with a degree in social services.  Sandy has worked, both as an employee and volunteer with various non-profits providing services for the older adult community.  She has one daugher, Emmy, who lives in Richmond and one grand-dog, Cookie, also in Richmond. Sandy currently splits her time between Alexandria and Boyce/Millwood, VA
